A 2-story 28,000 square foot medical office building located on 2.2 acres in Henderson, Nevada. Lochsa Engineering performed complete Civil, Flood Control, Surveying and structural design services. The civil portion of the project included full site design including grading and street construction. The flood control design efforts included the hydrologic analysis and hydraulic modeling of the Pittman Wash tributary along the project boundary. The project is designed to be flood protected from the Wash flows while maintaining minimal impact on the floodplain’s base flood elevations. Infrastructure design included extending wet and dry utilities along the project street frontage and into the site. The structural portion of the project included the structural design of the 2-story concrete tilt-up building. The composite floor system is supported by structural steel joists that bear on interior structural steel frames and on the exterior concrete tilt-up wall panels. The steel roof deck is similarly supported. The structural construction documents included full elevations of the concrete tilt-up panels for the ease of construction.
Lochsa Survey was responsible for the boundary and topographic survey.
