Elko County Jail - Men's and Women's Housing Addition

The project consists of a 1,129 square foot one story women's housing addition and a 8,539 square foot two story men's housing addition.

The women's housing addition was constructed using steel deck over steel beams supported on exterior  and interior masonry bearing walls for the roof.  The lateral system  utilized the exterior and interior masonry bearing walls. The foundation system for jail portion was a conventional spread footing system.

The men's housing addition was constructed using steel deck over steel beams supported on exterior  and interior masonry bearing walls for the roof. The floor framing for the second floor Cells and Dormitory was constructed utilizing a  concrete over steel deck floor framing system bearing on interior and exterior masonry walls and interior steel and concrete beams. The 2 story cells were constructed using a pre-engineered wall and ceiling system supported on the structural slab on grade. The lateral system  utilized the exterior and interior masonry bearing walls. The foundation system for jail portion was a conventional spread footing system.
