This single-story 28,834 sf masonry building is to serve as Elko, Nevada's new convention center. Lochsa Engineering provided the structural engineering and BIM work for the project.
The roof construction consists of wood panels over wide flange beams and open web steel joists. Additional tube steel roof members were required to supported movable partition doors within the Exhibit/Ballroom.
The majority of the roof framing bears on special reinforced masonry shear walls. The lobby and vestibules are enclosed by tube steel beams and columns that support a full-height aluminum storefront glazing system.
