Harrah's/Imperial Palace Monorail Connector

The monorail connector is an elevated precast structure stretching between the second floor of the Harrah’s and imperial Palace Casinos via a shared walkway spanning over a drive aisle below.  From this platform the connector ramps up to the monorail elevation, supported from two large Y-shaped steel columns and a composite floor deck.

Lochsa Engineering provided the complete structural design for this project including all code related gravity, dynamic and wind/seismic loads.  Services also included construction administration and coordination.
