Caesars Entertainment is redefining the iconic Las Vegas skyline with The Linq, and open-air retail, dining, and entertainment district. The area is anchored by the world's tallest observation wheel, known as the High Roller.
In addition to the more than 200,000 SF of leasable retail space, The Linq features contemporary streetscape and plazas connecting new entrances to the Flamingo and The Quad (formerly the Imperial Palace).
Lochsa Engineering provided structural & civil engineering services for the project which included: renovation and remodel of the existing Flamingo, Imperial Palace and O'Sheas properties; new two-story retail, dining and entertainment structures; five-story wheel building; Vortex canopy structure on top of the existing O'Sheas building; two new porte cocheres; and a new loading dock to serve the Flamingo and Linq properties. All new construction featured composite floors, structural steel, and a combination of lateral force resisting elements that included steel moment frames, concrete, and masonry shear walls.
