RTC Bonneville Transit Center

This transit center is located in downtown Las Vegas and serves as the flagship terminal for the regional bus system. The 20,000 square foot building was constructed in part with ARRA and FTA funds and received the Certified LEED Platinum. The site has 16 on-site vehicle bays, 100 bicycle racks, a bike shop, and reserved parking for hybrid vehicles.

Lochsa Engineering provided traffic planning services in the form of a traffic impact study of the adjacent roadways and intersection. Lochsa Engineering was responsible for the traffic engineering design of adjacent roadways providing geometric, signage/striping, pedestrian, and street lighting design integrating it with several other downtown transportation improvements that occurred concurrently. In addition, a thorough turning movement analysis was done on-site to ensure the buses would have sufficient room to move freely.
