The aggressive nature of this project required Lochsa to create innovative non-industry standard framing concepts in order to meet strict deadlines.
This 190’ x 300’ x 24’ aviation facility is located in Sandpoint, Idaho. The unique roof structure was integrated into the metal building frame and was wrapped with masonry non-bearing walls. The walls are supported at the top by the steel frame. A masonry exterior was integrated into the building steel framing system along with large operable doors for aircraft use.
This unique aviation 185’x 84’ hanger facility combines a conventional hanger space with office and storage areas. Lochsa Engineering provided structural engineering design for the pre-manufactured steel building foundation with concrete composite mezzanine deck.
