Lochsa Engineering provided structural engineering design for the remodel / retrofit of this six-story building in downtown Boise. Exterior brick walls were seismically restrained back to existing structure to comply with current building codes. Existing steel framing was analyzed for seismic and wind loading and reinforced as needed in areas that were overstressed.

The Center at Arrowhead serves patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. With state-of-the-art equipment, this facility maintains a 96 bed, 75,700 sq ft, 3 story skilled nursing unit.
The project consisted of a 16,800 square foot 1 story Sanctuary Building and Meeting Rooms addition, a 1,400 square foot 1 story Kitchen and Storage addition and a 1,200 square foot 1 story Maintenance building addition.
Lochsa Engineering provided the structural engineering for this single story steel structure. This phase of work was in conjunction with the installation of the adjacent pre-manufactured steel building. The primary lateral bracing system for the building was accomplished by utilizing cable cross-bracing.
