Located on the corner of Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane, the Shadow Lane campus is in the heart of the city’s medical district and serves as the focal point for the university’s research, advanced training and professional services in biomedical sciences and biotechnology.
The Mendenhall Center will have a total of 38,000 square feet of space on three levels. Included will be two basketball courts, an academic area and film room, locker rooms, athletic training, strength and conditioning, and equipment areas.
Lochsa Surveying provided the land surveying services from start to finish on this project. Due to the project’s proximity to McCarran International Airport, Lochsa Surveying was required to provide the calculations required for the project to be built and maintain a safe zone in regards to the approaching and departing aircraft.

This commercial aviation facility developed over three phases and is located on 70 acres of leased land within the Henderson Executive Airport. The facility contains 250,000 SF of aircraft hangar space and 35,500 SF office space. Hangars will range in size from approximately 4,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet.
The Animal Foundation is on an 8-acre Las Vegas campus that houses a multitude of services and provides a refuge for the more than 50,000 homeless, lost, neglected, unwanted and abused animals received each and every year.
Lochsa Surveying was contracted to provide staking and as-built services for this rehabilitation. Part of the as-built services included monitoring any movement around the excavation where trenches remained open for many weeks to complete the work.
