Designed as a “21st century bazaar”, Grand Bazaar Shops is an immersive retail and dining experience directly on the Strip, that captures the essence of the world’s greatest open-air markets. With more than 175 shops over two acres, along with a breadth of food, dining and bar venues, Grand Bazaar Shops invites travelers and locals alike to discover its many treasures.
Construction of the Grand Bazaar Shops feature 12-foot x 12-foot individual bazaars joined together to create long strips of shopping and topped with a Middle Eastern themed signage on the roofs that include an integrated light show.
The area also includes two - 2 story food venues, a standalone crystal themed building and two more themed structures overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard, Lochsa Engineering provided structural and civil engineering serviced for the project that included two-story steel moment frames in the composite framed structures, steel brace frames in the long bazaar buildings and concrete retaining walls forming a large basement.
Construction for this project started in December 2013 and was completed in January 2015. The approximate construction cost was $50 million (USD).
