Owned by the Rincon San Luiseno Band of Mission Indians and located in the spectacular Palomar mountains of San Diego County, this much anticipated expansion put the casino resort in a position to be considered one of the premiere destination resorts in the Golden State. The addition included a 21-story tower that tripled the property’s hotel capacity to 653 rooms. The hotel features a total of 104 suites including 36 end suites with private patios and fabulous mountain views. Another added feature was a 7,500 square foot spa and state-of-the-art fitness center. The existing low-rise structure was also upgraded with 12,000 square feet of expanded gaming floor, a 2,000 square foot gift shop, new porte cochere and a variety of interior improvements.
The hotel’s second level floor is a 12-inch mild reinforced concrete slab while the upper floors are constructed of 8-inch post-tensioned concrete. The tower’s lateral force resisting system features special reinforced concrete shear walls supported on a concrete pile cap and driven steel H-pile foundation. The low-rise casino is constructed of steel with ordinary steel braced frames and is supported on spread footings.
