Unveiled for the first time in its nationally televised debut during MTV’s 2007 Music Awards, the Pearl concert hall inside the 703-room Palms Casino Resort is about as cool as they come. The three-tier, crescent-shaped theater boasts 18 private and semi-private skyboxes, nine public bars, two VIP lounges, dressing rooms and backstage areas.
The 2,500-person capacity theater offers guests a unique up-close and personal viewing experience with no seat further than 120 feet from center stage. Concert performances are further enhanced by two 14-foot by 16-foot video screens flanking the stage and 60 powerful JBL Vertec loudspeakers to rock the house.
The 58-foot tall venue, located right off the Palms’ main floor, was created by incorporating space from the casino’s movie theaters. The structural design, provided by Lochsa Engineering, consisted of cast-in-place concrete and structural steel framing.
