731 St. Charles was a CFS Panel project in which Lochsa was responsible for the design of the walls and trusses from second floor to the roof. Both trusses and walls were constructed offsite at a warehouse then shipped to the site. What made this project so unique was that all of the studs that made up the trusses and panels were rolled up steel coils that were fed through a Howick machine, cutting, bending, and hole punching each piece, leaving only the assembly left to do. What used to be an old office building and parking garage was renovated and turned into this complex of 67 multi-use condominiums.
