Lochsa Engineering of Nevada is currently seeking a licensed P.E. for our Boise and Las Vegas offices. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and have eight to 10 years’ experience. A P.E license from any state is required. Candidate must also have design experience and possess strong verbal and written skills. This role has minimum supervision so the candidate must be able to manage their own projects.

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
• Develop detailed designs, reports, and engineering studies
• Successfully prepare and deliver project technical documents, technical specifications, and design calculations
• Coordinate drawing development with technical staff
• Establish and maintain excellent relationship with both external and internal clients
• Prepare design calculations and contract drawings of wood, concrete, masonry, and steel structures
• Review of calculations and drawings and review technical quality of structural projects
• Perform project and construction administration of related designs
• Ability to travel locally as projects require

Must possess the following:
• An university degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• P.E. License
• Familiar with steel and concrete structural design and detailing
• Strong technical skills
• Strong communication skills and personal skills
• Working knowledge of common structural engineering software such as ETABS, RAM Concept, RAM Structural System, RISA, and SAFE
• Construction engineering experience a plus
