JOHN ZIELINSKI P.E. S.E.

Title: Managing Principal
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Education: California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California Bachelor of Science in Architectural (Structural) Engineering
Affiliations: American Institute of Steel Construction

Like many high school students looking for advice on career options, Mr. Zielinski sought out one of his mentors, his drafting teacher, for answers. Based on his exceptional skills in both drafting and math, his teacher recommended architectural engineering. However, it wasn’t until his second year in college that Mr. Zielinski realized what he was really in for. Working as a contractor’s apprentice on custom home sites during that time taught him lessons that have proven invaluable throughout his career. Today, Mr. Zielinski is known for developing structural solutions that are constructible, efficiently use building materials while maintaining the integrity of the architectural design.

During his 20 year career, Mr. Zielinski has accrued a very diverse and distinguished portfolio. His most notably unique and challenging project was ‘The Art of Motorcycle’ exhibit at the Guggenheim Las Vegas. This spectacular art display, designed by Frank Gehry, featured enormous curved polished stainless steel architectural structures, towering chain link curtains, and glass floors and partitions. His other experience includes casinos, office buildings, convention centers, theaters and performing art facilities, retail/commercial centers, hotels, private residence, renovations, interiors and specialty structures. Mr. Zielinski also provided management and design of projects from schematic design to construction documents and through construction administration on these projects.
