The Eastside Cannery Hotel & Casino features a 16-story, 280,000 square foot tower and 250,000 square foot low-rise reminiscent of early 20th century buildings of the industrial age. With its unique structural steel saw tooth roofline, the 210-foot tall tower offers 307 hotel rooms and a restaurant at the 16th level featuring spectacular panoramic views of the Las Vegas skyline. The low-rise portion of the property consists of 65,000 square feet of casino space, 20,000 square feet of convention space, a 10,000 square foot bingo hall, three bars, an upscale live entertainment lounge, resort spa and a half-acre pool area.

Lochsa Engineering provided complete structural and civil design for this hotel tower and low-rise.  The tower framing consists of cast-in-place concrete post-tensioned flat plate floors and concrete shear walls.  The casino low-rise was designed utilizing structural steel columns and beams, steel decking and steel concentrically braced frames to withstand code prescribed lateral loads.

The flood control design efforts included the hydrologic modeling for the watershed impacting the site and perimeter streets, modeling of the flow split between streets and flood protecting the structures against street flows.
